Though I am not a licensed architect, I received a degree in architecture, and have experience in engineering. I have over 30 years of experience working on architectural projects in several states. I also studied art and metalsmithing/blacksmithing, which gives me a unique and deeper understanding of fabrication and materials used in building. I focus on providing elegant, refined, and executable solutions that function as intended without sacrificing aesthetic appeal.
My ability to turn ideas into reality is highly valued by the design teams and clients I work with. My focus – always – is not only to design well, but to address the potential for future problems on the project before me, which benefits my employers and clients. Good design works, but the best design lasts. It results in sustainable structures by ensuring the end product is attractive, resilient and viable long into the future.
My off time is often spent biking or hiking the hills near my home in Ashland, OR, and enjoying friendships and the happy benefits of living and working in a beautiful place.
